The English Speaking Club of Aarau was founded on

20 October 1995

The basic objective of the club is to provide a forum, where people of any nationality can meet regularly and have the opportunity to converse in English. Through this we provide not only the expatriate English-speaking members with a regular meeting place and contacts, but assist all others to improve, retain and appreciate the English language and build bridges of understanding between the language communities.

To reach these objectives various continuous activities are being held as shown in section Activities of the website.

Any member is most welcome to make their own proposals for club events. If approved, the club supports these kinds of activities.

The English Speaking Club has a lead team of five members in the functions Contact Person, Treasurer, Webmaster and the lead of the subgroups (see section Activities).
